1. Brief Introduction to Terms & Conditions

1.1 Thank you for choosing Janu Private Tours. We take all efforts to make sure that you have a delightful Tour experience. To avoid any misunderstanding, we request you to read, understand and abide by the below ‘Terms and Conditions’ along with Privacy Policy before you book any tour or any service or make any transaction with Janu Private Tours Janu Private Tours website or any mobile application or otherwise. Once you book any Tour or service with Janu Private Tours, it is understood that you are giving your consent to accept and abide by the ‘Terms and Conditions’. In case you disagree with any part of these ‘Terms and Conditions’, kindly do not proceed with the booking.
1.2 ‘Terms and Conditions’ extend to all group tours, customized Holidays, Corporate Tours, any other services and products for Domestic, International or Inbound organised by ‘Janu Private Tours.
1.3 Janu Private Tours has the final authority on the interpretation of these ‘Terms and Conditions’.
1.4 Janu Private Tours reserves the right to amend, vary, add, amplify or waive any stipulation, representation, term or condition mentioned in the ‘Terms and Conditions’.
1.5 Under any unprecedented force majeure situation or any changes in Government policy, Janu Private Tours reserves the right to supersede any part of these ‘Terms and Conditions’ with an alternate and valid enforceable provision.
1.6 Each of these ‘Terms and Conditions’ shall be severable and if any provision thereof is declared invalid, illegal or unenforceable, then remaining provisions nevertheless shall have full force & effect.
1.7 These ‘Terms and Conditions’, together with the other booking related terms/ communication sent periodically, represent the entire agreement between Janu Private Tours and you.1.8 There is no agreement between the Company and you until the company has received the initial registration amount/ deposit as the case may be.

2. Foreign Exchange Conversion

The Exchange rate quoted by us with respect to all the currencies might differ from reference rates which may be shown in Google, Reserve Bank of India and other exchange rate conversion portal. There could be multiple reasons for such difference including factors like difference in reference rates and actual trade rates, bank commissions on exchange services, day to day change in exchange rate margin etc.

3. Payment Terms

3.1 We request for an advance payment (USD/EUR/GBP) (can be transferred via wire/paypal) once the travel plan is confirmed, in order for us to start your bookings.
3.2 The balance amount has to be paid to us for completion of your bookings and there after you will receive your Hotel Vouchers / Flight and Train E-tickets, details etc.
3.3 If your trip starts in more than ninety days, you can choose to pay us the balance in two parts:-
a) 50% balance upon receipt of all your Hotel, Train and Flight vouchers; and
b) Balance 50% – forty five days prior to your trip start date.

4. Payment Methods

4.1. We accept all types of Visa and MasterCard and you can pay us using any of these cards (credit or debit) on our website. If any transaction fee and/or convenience fee is charged by the card issuing bank then such transaction fee and/or convenience fee would be added and reflected in your invoice.
4.2. We also accept bank transfers. However, the transfer fee, if any, charged by the bank has to be borne by you and must be added to the payment amount being remitted to our bank account i.e we should receive the amount net of any charges or other levies by the bank.
4.3. You can also pay us using wire/PayPal. The transfer fee, if any, levied for processing payment using wire/paypal have to be borne by you and must be added to the payment amount being remitted to our bank account through wire/paypal.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

5.1 We are very fair with cancellation and refunds and should you have to cancel your trip we would refund the following, subject to paragraphs 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4 below, to the maximum extent possible:
5.2 Amounts paid for the hotel reservation subject to the said hotel’s cancellation and refund policy. i.e. we would refund all the amounts which are refunded by the concerned hotel.
5.3 Refunds of airfare are subject to the relevant airline policy on cancellation and refund. If there are any cancellation fee charged by the concerned airline then we will be able to refund the amount received from the concerned airline subject to such cancellation charges by the airline.
5.4 Flight refunds would be as per airline policies. After deducting the airlines cancellation fee we would refund the balance amount.
5.5 If any train has been booked as per your travel plan then the refund of the train fare would be subject to the railways cancellation policy. We will refund the entire as received from the railway authorities.
5.6 If you have paid for any car hiring charges then we will use our best efforts to refund you the entire amount paid for such car hire.
5.7 If you have paid any amount for any of activities offered by us then we will use our best efforts to refund the entire amount paid for such activity.
5.8 It is clarified that any taxes paid by you including the goods and services tax and other applicable tax are non-refundable. You agree, acknowledge and accept that the taxes paid by you including the goods and services tax and other applicable tax are non-refundable and you shall not have any right to claim refund of such taxes.
5.9 We shall not be liable to refund the consultation fee paid by you for using our services. You agree, acknowledge and accept that the consultation fee is non-refundable and you shall not have any right to claim refund of the consultation fee paid to us.
5.10 If you cancel your booking at the last minute i.e. 7 days or lesser period from the date of your trip then there will be cancellation fee of 20 % cancellation fee charged by us.
5.11. The refunds mentioned in paragraph 4.1 shall be subject of receipt of refunds by us from the concerned hotels, airlines, railways and car hire agencies which normally takes up to three weeks once the process of refund is initiated. If the payment towards booking amount have been made using a credit card then the refund shall be made to the same credit card Any charges levied by Bank shall be to your account and will adjusted in the refunded amount.
5.12. Ranthambore Safari Policy Summary :
• Safari charges are non-refundable (except unconfirmed bookings).
• Entry is permitted only with a valid permit from official gates.
• Park reserves the right to limit zone access for safety.
• Bookings are based on availability and cannot be transferred.
• Valid identification is mandatory during safaris.
• Visitors must comply with all park rules and respect wildlife boundaries.
• Loud behavior, music, and close interactions with animals are prohibited.
• Personal photography is allowed; commercial photography requires official clearance.
• Smoking and use of open flames are strictly forbidden.

October 1 – June 30:
Zones 1–10 open daily (except weekly closure days).
Core Zones (1–5): closed every Wednesday
Buffer Zones (6–10): closed every Tuesday

July 1 – September 30 (Monsoon):
Zones 1–5: closed for the season
Zones 6–10: open except Tuesdays

6. Changes to this Payment Terms, Cancellation and Refund Policy

6.1 We reserve the right to revise and update this Payment Terms, Cancellation and Refund Policy at its sole discretion. Any such revisions will be effective on and from the date of posting the same on the Website and will apply to all bookings collected both prior to and following the effective date.

6.2 Janu Private Tours reserves the right to cancel/ postpone/ re-schedule any tour under force majeure situation like natural calamity, epidemic, pandemic, terrorist activities, political unrest, curfews, local riots, government orders etc. or uncontrollable factors like airline operation/ schedule change, disruption due to political/ sports/ local/ VIP event etc. at the destination considering the safety of the tourists.

6.3 Under any such force majeure situation/ uncontrollable factors, no refund - fully or partially will be applicable. As refund is not applicable, guest will be required to choose the next possible future date of the same tour. If there is any price difference for the future tour, guests will have to pay the same before the tour departure.

6.4 To reschedule the tour in force majeure situation/ uncontrollable factors, Janu Private Tours will send the request to all the concerned associates like airlines, hoteliers, transporters etc. for their cooperation and assistance in postponement of the services. In case these associates are not in a positon to consider the request, then actual cancellation charges may apply.

6.5 If guest wants to change the destination, then decision will depend on the cooperation of the associates like airlines, hoteliers, transporters etc. Such a decision will require time and will be given as early as possible. If the selected tour’s price is more, then guest will have to pay the difference before the tour departure. In case the tour price is less, then the remaining amount will be kept in a credit shell with Janu Private Tours. No refund is applicable for the credit shell.

6.6 Guest cancels the tour due to non-acceptance of change in itinerary/ service:
A. For the betterment of the itinerary or under unforeseen situation, Janu Private Tours reserves the right to add/ delete/ exchange the sightseeing place/s or any other service and on this ground guest will not be able to withdraw from the tour.
B. In this case if the additional sightseeing or service requires extra charge then it will have to be paid by the guest.
C. If any guest is not willing to accept the said change, then guest will have to cancel the tour and cancellation charges as per the Cancellation Policy will be applicable.

6.7 Deemed Cancellation - Guest’s booking stands cancelled due to visa rejection/ delay:
A. Rejection / delay of visa will lead to deemed cancellation and the booking will stand cancelled without any intimation or confirmation from the Guest.
B. Visa rejection date will be considered as the date of cancellation and the cancellation charge will be applicable accordingly.
C. In certain cases, where air ticket/ visa is processed more than 91 days in advance, there along with regular tour cancellation charges, additional actual charges on account of air/visa fees will be applicable.

6.8 Physical and Mental Fitness:
When a guest books the tour or when someone else books the tour on their behalf, it implies that the guest is physically and mentally fit to travel to the particular destination. It is crucial for the guest/s to maintain their health throughout the tour and carry any required medication with a doctor’s prescription. Janu Private Tours reserves the right to decline the booking or discontinue the guest from the tour if the guest is found unfit to travel, or if their medical condition is causing inconvenience to fellow travellers in the group tour. Any expenses due to health issues arising during the tour shall be entirely borne by the guest, and we shall not be held responsible in any manner whatsoever. Additionally, guests are advised that high-altitude locations in the tour itinerary may pose challenges for any individual irrespective of their age and otherwise normal health condition. Further, Minors, Senior citizen and guest with per-existing medical condition, must consult with their doctors before booking any tour, especially before booking the high-altitude destination tours, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

6.9 Mandatory Health Requirement:
Guests must abide by the mandatory requirements for travel to the destination, such as Vaccination, RT-PCR tests, RAT, e-pass formalities, health checks on arrival/ on tour etc. as per the state or country. These requirements or regulations are subject to change periodically. Any cost incurred for such requirements should be borne by the guests. It will be the sole responsibility of the guest to carry the certificate or test report with them and present it whenever asked for by the officials. Any State or Country or service provider such as Airline, Cruise Company, Railway may decline the entry to a guest/s on medical grounds in such situation the consequences including all kinds of expenses will be borne by the guest.

6.10 Travel During Pregnancy:
Janu Private Tours does not recommend travel during pregnancy. The Company does not provide any specialized facilities and/or treatments required for childbirth, prenatal, or early infant care on tour. Guest should consider the risks of traveling where necessary medical care for pregnancy may not be available and may not be reachable in a timely manner to address potential medical complications, problems, and emergencies that can occur during pregnancy.

7. Travel Insurance:

7.1 All the guests travelling within India must possess Travel Insurance. This insurance has a limited cover which includes loss of baggage, flight delays/ cancellation, hospitalization, death, repatriation, evacuation etc. to a certain extent. Few adventure activities which are part of the tour itinerary may or may not be covered in the insurance policy.

7.2 It is mandatory for guests to carry their insurance copy on tour and present the same to the authorities when asked for. Overseas travel insurance does not cover any pre-existing disease/s. Guests who wish to upgrade their travel insurance for more/higher coverage, can do so by paying an additional premium. Contact Janu Private Tours Travel Advisor for the same.

7.3 In case of any incident leading to insurance claim, it is mandatory for the guest to intimate the Insurance Company and Janu Private Tours within 24 hours.

7.4 Overseas travel insurance policy is at the sole discretion of the respective insurance company. Janu Private Tours is just a facilitator who does not have any control over their operations or the claim process. Guests will have to directly communicate with the insurance company and provide necessary documents asked for the claim settlement. Any grant or rejection of the claim will be solely the decision of the insurance company and Janu Private Tours is not responsible for the same. Any dispute arising about adequacy of settlement amount or rejection of claim should be directly dealt with the Insurance Company by the guests.

7.5 Foreign nationals or NRI guests arriving in India on an Inbound Tour or any Group Tour, need to purchase their travel insurance separately on their own before starting the journey.

7.6 Covid-19 Policy It is the responsibility of each guest to stay informed of and comply with COVID-19 regulations in place at their travel destinations, as required by local health and government agencies. Janu Private Tours appreciates your cooperation.

8. Copyright and Browsing License

8.1 You acknowledge that all copyright, designs, database rights, trademarks, patents and all other intellectual property and material rights relating to our website is and remains our sole and absolute property. You are granted no right, license or interest in or to our website content or any intellectual property rights in it.

8.2 You are not allowed to modify, copy, distribute, transmit, publish, transfer or sell any of our website content or use our website for any commercial purpose, including any advertising or advertising revenue generation activity on your website or any other medium from your end.

8.3 As a guest, you have been granted a browsing license which gives you a permission to download and run the pages of our website that we make accessible to you, in a web browser and to store/ copy/ print the same provided that you are doing so as a guest for the purpose of your travel. Janu Private Tours reserves the right to terminate the said rights if any misuse is observed.

9. Trademarks

The name, logos, symbols, slogans, trademarks, service marks, creative displayed on Janu Private Tours website or any promotional material at any of the Janu Private Tours sales offices etc. is an intellectual property of Janu Private Tours. It is protected under laws and cannot be reproduced, copied, used either alone or in conjunction or combination with other trademarks, logos or otherwise in any manner which may be confusing or misleading. It also does not grant anyone a license, right or authority to utilize it in any manner. Any unauthorized use of the same, without the prior written permission and consent of Janu Private Tours, will be in violation of the applicable laws and it will lead to an appropriate legal action.
