Tour Highlights
Your journey begins in Ahmedabad, the vibrant city recognised as India’s first UNESCO World Heritage City. After arriving, freshen up and get ready to explore the highlights of this cultural hub.
Start your morning at Kankaria Lake, a peaceful oasis where locals gather for leisure walks and boating. From here, make your way to the iconic Sabarmati Ashram, once home to Mahatma Gandhi. Walking through the ashram’s serene environment, you’ll find personal artefacts, photographs, and a glimpse into the freedom movement.
Later, marvel at the grandeur of Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar, an architectural masterpiece dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan. Its spiritual aura and intricate carvings will leave you mesmerised. Before ending the day, visit the Adalaj Stepwell, a 15th-century marvel showcasing Indo-Islamic architecture with beautiful stone carvings.
Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.
After breakfast, set out for the Little Rann of Kutch, one of Gujarat’s most unique ecological zones. On arrival, check into your eco-resort and prepare for an adventurous wildlife safari.
The highlight here is the Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary, the only place in the world where you can spot this rare species. As your jeep safari takes you across the barren yet striking salt marshes, keep your eyes open for wild asses, desert foxes, jackals, and an impressive variety of migratory birds including flamingos, cranes, pelicans, and raptors.
The vast landscapes here are surreal – especially at sunset when the horizon glows with golden hues. Spend the evening enjoying the tranquillity of the Rann, perhaps engaging in a local village visit to understand the rural lifestyle.
Overnight stay amidst the rustic charm of the Little Rann.
Please note that after the finalization of the tour/service cost, if there are any hikes in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by the Govt of India and Rajasthan state government the same would be charged as extra.
