Morning: Departure from Jaisalmer

We pick you up from your hotel in Jaisalmer for your tour. As you drive towards Kuldhara, your guide will share stories and legends about Rajasthan’s desert culture. The journey itself is scenic, with vast stretches of arid landscapes and scattered villages offering a glimpse into the rustic desert lifestyle.

Late Morning: Explore Kuldhara Village

Arrive at the abandoned Kuldhara Village, located around 20 km from Jaisalmer. Once a prosperous settlement of Paliwal Brahmins, the village was mysteriously abandoned overnight nearly 300 years ago. It is said that the villagers left due to the oppressive demands of a local ruler, while legends also speak of a curse that prevents anyone from inhabiting the place.

Walk through the sandstone ruins, admire the ancient houses, narrow streets, and remnants of temples. The silence of Kuldhara, combined with its haunting past, creates an atmosphere unlike any other. This stop is perfect for history enthusiasts, photographers, and those curious about Rajasthan’s folklore.
