Red Fort

The first stop is the magnificent Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the 17th century by Emperor Shah Jahan. You will spend about an hour exploring its impressive halls, gardens, and museums that showcase the grandeur of the Mughal era.

Jama Masjid

After visiting the Red Fort, you will proceed to the nearby Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque, also built by Shah Jahan. This grand structure can accommodate thousands of worshippers at a time and is renowned for its striking red sandstone and white marble architecture. For those who wish, a short climb up the southern minaret offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Old Delhi.

Chandni Chowk Rickshaw Ride & Spice Market

Following your visit to Jama Masjid, you will explore the lively lanes of Chandni Chowk, one of Delhi’s oldest and busiest markets. Enjoy a traditional rickshaw ride through its bustling alleys and vibrant shops, and visit Khari Baoli, Asia’s largest spice market. Along the way, savor local treats like crispy parathas or sweet jalebis for an authentic taste of Old Delhi.

Raj Ghat

Next, visit Raj Ghat, the serene memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, where you can pay your respects at the simple yet powerful site.

India Gate & President’s House (Rashtrapati Bhavan)

Continue your drive past India Gate and the President’s House (Rashtrapati Bhavan), iconic colonial-era landmarks designed by Lutyens. This is a great spot for photos and to admire the grandeur of New Delhi’s architecture.
