Day 01: Arrival in Kochi – The Colonial Charm of Cochin

Your magical Kerala journey begins with a warm welcome at Kochi Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station. From the very first step, you’ll feel the charm of Kerala’s blend of history and modernity. After a comfortable hotel transfer and some time to refresh, set out for a half-day city tour of Kochi.

Start at the enchanting Fort Kochi, where old-world Portuguese, Dutch, and British influences are still alive in every corner. Watch the Chinese Fishing Nets sway gracefully against the Arabian Sea – a sight unique to Kerala. Explore the Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace), famous for its exquisite murals, followed by the Jewish Synagogue, a heritage landmark with centuries of culture woven into its walls.

Step inside St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India, and end your day with a peaceful stroll along Marine Drive, watching the sun sink into the horizon. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay, ready for the adventures ahead.

Day 02: Kochi to Munnar – A Journey into the Hills

After breakfast, your Kerala tour takes you from coastal plains to misty mountains as you drive to Munnar, Kerala’s most loved hill station. The road winds through lush greenery, tea gardens, and waterfalls. On the way, pause to admire the gushing Cheeyappara Waterfalls and the silvery cascade of Valara Waterfalls. From Karadippara Viewpoint, soak in breathtaking vistas of valleys and rolling hills.

You may also stop by a spice plantation to breathe in the fresh aroma of cardamom, pepper, and vanilla. By evening, you’ll arrive in Munnar and check into your hotel. Spend the rest of the evening exploring the little town or relaxing amidst the cool mountain breeze.

Day 3: Munnar Sightseeing – Waterfalls, Lakes & Rare Wildlife

Wake up to crisp mountain air and set out to explore the gems of Munnar. Begin with Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and sprawling meadows. Later, visit the fascinating Tea Museum, which tells the story of Munnar’s iconic tea plantations.

Continue your tour with a visit to Mattupetty Dam, a serene spot perfect for photography, and enjoy the natural acoustics of Echo Point. A peaceful boat ride on Kundala Lake offers unforgettable moments amidst misty hills and pine forests. After a day of exploration, return to your hotel to relax.

Day 04: Munnar to Thekkady – Wildlife and Spice Trails

After breakfast, check out from Munnar and head to Thekkady, famous for wildlife and spice gardens. The drive through the Western Ghats is scenic and dotted with plantations.

On arrival, explore the renowned Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, where a boat ride on Periyar Lake may reward you with sightings of elephants, deer, and exotic birdlife. Later, visit a spice plantation to see how cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves are grown. You may also enjoy optional activities such as an elephant ride, a Kathakali dance show, or a thrilling Kalari martial arts performance.

Day 05: Thekkady to Alleppey – Backwater Bliss on a Houseboat

This morning, your Kerala tour shifts from hills to backwaters. Drive down to Alleppey (Alappuzha), known as the “Venice of the East.” Upon arrival, board a traditional Kerala houseboat, your floating home for the night.

As the boat glides along palm-fringed canals, you’ll witness everyday village life – children waving from the banks, fishermen at work, and women washing clothes by the water. Day 06: Alleppey to Kovalam – Sun, Sand and Serenity

After breakfast on the houseboat, drive to Kovalam, Kerala’s iconic beach destination. On the way, you may choose to stop at Krishnapuram Palace or the cliffside Varkala Beach.

Once in Kovalam, check in to your seaside hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Relax on the golden sands of Lighthouse Beach, watch the waves, and witness a mesmerising sunset over the Arabian Sea.

Day 07: Kovalam to Kanyakumari – The Southernmost Tip of India

Today, embark on a full-day excursion to Kanyakumari, where three oceans – the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Indian Ocean – meet. This sacred and scenic place offers a unique cultural and spiritual experience.

Visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, a peaceful monument amidst the sea, and the towering Thiruvalluvar Statue, dedicated to the great Tamil poet-saint. Pay respects at Kanyakumari Temple, admire Gandhi Mandapam, and don’t miss the breathtaking sunset over the ocean’s confluence. Return to Kovalam for an overnight stay.

Day 08: Kovalam to Trivandrum – Departure with Memories

On the final day, enjoy a relaxed breakfast before checking out. Depending on your departure time, explore the highlights of Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram). You may visit the world-famous Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the historic Napier Museum, or the Sree Chitra Art Gallery showcasing traditional Kerala art. Later, you will be dropped at Trivandrum Airport or Railway Station, carrying beautiful memories of your Kerala tour from Kochi – a journey of beaches, backwaters, wildlife, and heritage.

  • A current and valid passport is required on the day of travel.
  • This tour is not wheelchair accessible.
  • The dress code is smart casual. Please note that shorts or sleeveless tops are not recommended when visiting temples.
  • A moderate amount of walking is involved. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
  • Most travelers can participate; however, this tour may not be suitable for individuals with heart problems or other serious medical conditions.

  • The tour will be confirmed only after receiving a 50% advance payment. The remaining balance must be paid before the commencement of the tour.
  • Any hotel or package booking will remain tentative until the required advance payment has been received and the booking is confirmed on a guaranteed basis.
  • A 15% transaction fee will be charged for cancellations made between 45 and 30 days prior to the scheduled booking date.
  • 50% cancellation charges will apply to cancellations made within the last 30 days before the scheduled tour date.
  • 100% cancellation charges will apply in case of a No Show.

  • After the tour or service cost has been finalized, any increase in monument or museum entrance fees, taxes, fuel costs, or guide charges imposed by the Government of India or the Rajasthan State Government will be charged additionally.
  • The cost of travel insurance, personal insurance, medical emergencies, and any other personal expenses will be borne by the traveler.
