Day 1: Ahmedabad – Heritage Prelude

Your journey begins in Ahmedabad, the vibrant city recognised as India’s first UNESCO World Heritage City. After arriving, freshen up and get ready to explore the highlights of this cultural hub.

Start your morning at Kankaria Lake, a peaceful oasis where locals gather for leisure walks and boating. From here, make your way to the iconic Sabarmati Ashram, once home to Mahatma Gandhi. Walking through the ashram’s serene environment, you’ll find personal artefacts, photographs, and a glimpse into the freedom movement.

Later, marvel at the grandeur of Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar, an architectural masterpiece dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan. Its spiritual aura and intricate carvings will leave you mesmerised. Before ending the day, visit the Adalaj Stepwell, a 15th-century marvel showcasing Indo-Islamic architecture with beautiful stone carvings.

Day 2: Little Rann of Kutch – Wild Ass Safari & Birdwatching

Day 3: Bhuj – Handicraft & Artisan Village Visit

Today, travel to Bhuj, the cultural heart of Kutch. On the way, stop at Bhujodi Village, famous for its vibrant handicrafts, weaving, and embroidery traditions. Here, local artisans will demonstrate how centuries-old craft techniques are still preserved, from handloom weaving to intricate mirror work.

On arrival in Bhuj, check into your hotel and relax. Later, stroll through the local bazaars where colourful textiles, bandhani fabrics, and silver jewellery catch your eye – a perfect chance to shop for souvenirs that reflect Gujarat’s artistry.

Day 4: Bhuj – Architectural Heritage & Mandvi Excursion

After breakfast, explore the heritage landmarks of Bhuj. Visit the Aina Mahal, an 18th-century palace that dazzles with glasswork, mirrors, and ornate interiors. Next, admire the European-Gothic style Prag Mahal, known for its elaborate sandstone architecture.

In the afternoon, drive to Mandvi, a coastal town where history meets serenity. Relax at Mandvi Beach, where golden sands and gentle waves create the perfect ambience. You may also visit the Vijay Vilas Palace, a royal residence with a beautiful fusion of Rajasthani, Mughal, and European architecture.

Return to Bhuj for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Sacred Circuit & Borderlands

Today is dedicated to exploring the spiritual and historic sites near Bhuj. Begin with a visit to the Ashapura Mata Temple (Mata na Madh), a revered shrine dedicated to the presiding goddess of Kutch. Pilgrims from across the state flock here to seek blessings.

Continue to Lakhpat Fort, once a bustling trading hub but now an atmospheric ruin overlooking the Kori Creek. Its massive walls and remnants of old structures tell stories of Kutch’s glorious past. Next, visit Koteshwar Temple, a peaceful spot offering panoramic views of the Arabian Sea, followed by Narayan Sarovar, one of the five holy lakes of Hinduism.

Return to Bhuj for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Bhuj to Dwarka – The Land of Lord Krishna

Leave Bhuj and journey towards Dwarka, one of the Char Dhams of Hinduism and the fabled kingdom of Lord Krishna. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and head straight for the evening Darshan at Dwarkadhish Temple. The temple’s shikhara rises majestically, and the devotional aarti fills the atmosphere with spirituality.

Day 7: Divine Dwarka Tour

Spend the entire day immersing yourself in Dwarka’s sacred aura. Begin with a boat ride to Bet Dwarka, an island associated with Krishna’s childhood. Continue to the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, one of the 12 revered Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.

Later, visit Rukmini Devi Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna’s consort, and the Harshad Mata Temple, another revered shrine. Spend your evening strolling along Dwarka Beach, where pilgrims often gather to watch the sunset.

Day 8: Dwarka to Somnath via Porbandar

Today, travel from Dwarka to Somnath, stopping en route at Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. Visit the Kirti Mandir, a memorial dedicated to the Father of the Nation, and explore Sudama Temple, linked to Krishna’s childhood friend.

On reaching Somnath, check into your hotel and proceed for temple visits. Witness the grandeur of Somnath Jyotirlinga Temple, one of the most sacred shrines of Lord Shiva, followed by Bhalka Tirth (where Lord Krishna is believed to have left his earthly body), Triveni Sangam, and the Gita Mandir.

Day 9: Diu’s Coastal Charm

After breakfast, drive to Diu, a union territory known for its Portuguese heritage and unspoilt beaches. Relax at Ghogla Beach or Nagoa Beach, both offering golden sands and peaceful surroundings.

Explore the impressive Diu Fort, St Paul’s Church, and the vibrant town markets. Enjoy a leisurely evening at the beach before heading back to Somnath for your overnight stay.

Day 10: Gir Safari – Into the Wild

Today is an adventure day as you drive to Gir National Park, the last natural habitat of the Asiatic lions. Check into your resort and gear up for a thrilling jeep safari into the forest. Alongside the lions, the park is home to leopards, striped hyenas, jackals, antelopes, marsh crocodiles, and over 300 species of birds.

Evening free to relax in the resort, enjoying the sounds of the wild. Overnight stay at Gir.

Day 11: Junagadh & Return to Ahmedabad

After breakfast, travel to Junagadh, a city steeped in history. Visit Uparkot Fort, famous for its massive walls and ancient stepwells, and see the Ashokan Rock Edicts, which date back to the 3rd century BCE.

Later, continue your journey back to Ahmedabad, where you will check into your hotel for your final night.

Day 12: Departure from Ahmedabad

After breakfast, you’ll be dropped at Ahmedabad Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, carrying with you beautiful memories of Gujarat’s heritage, wildlife, and spiritual wonders.
