Tour Highlights
Step into God’s Own Country with a warm welcome at Cochin Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station, and enjoy a comfortable drive to your hotel in Kochi. Spend your first afternoon immersed in the historic ambience of Fort Kochi—a place where colonial legacies meet Indian traditions. Wander along Marine Drive, explore the imposing Dutch Palace, marvel at the intricately carved Chinese Fishing Nets, and feel the timeless serenity of St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India.
Savour a fresh seafood dinner at a riverside café and finish the day with a tranquil stroll along the Cochin shoreline. Overnight stay in Kochi.
After a hearty breakfast, leave behind the coastal plains and ascend into the lush hills of Munnar (approx. 140 km, 4 hours). En route, enjoy the cascading Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls, breathe in the scent of spice plantations, and pass rolling rubber and cardamom fields.
As you arrive in Munnar, the air turns crisp and the emerald quilt of tea plantations unfolds across the horizon. Settle into your resort, then explore the nearby Lockhart Tea Park or visit the KDHP Tea Museum—a charming tribute to the history of tea in the region. You can gaze at vintage machinery, learn how tea is processed, and enjoy tastings of local brew. Overnight in Munnar.
Rise early for a full day of exploration among Munnar’s scenic marvels. Begin with a trek through Eravikulam National Park, home to the rare Nilgiri Tahr grazing among flowers and grasslands in South India’s highest national park. Move onwards to Mattupetty Dam for a peaceful boat ride, then capture echoes at Echo Point and wander by the tranquil waters of Kundala Lake.
Venture to Top Station if you’d like panoramic views of the Western Ghats and slopes where the elusive Neelakurinji blooms once every 12 years. Later, relax amid tea gardens, visit the Tea Museum again, or even ride a gentle trek through the plantations. Overnight stay in Munnar.
After breakfast, drive to Periyar in Thekkady (approx. 3–4 hours). As you enter the mist-draped forests, excitement builds for the safari ahead. In the afternoon, take a boat ride across Periyar Lake, gliding alongside elephant herds, deer, and perhaps even a bison or two drinking along the edge of the reserve.
With the evening free, consider experiencing a traditional Kathakali dance performance or a demonstration of Kerala’s martial art, Kalaripayattu. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before boarding a picturesque drive to Alleppey (approx. 4–5 hours), the “Venice of the East.” Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed onto a beautifully appointed houseboat—your floating haven for the night. Drifting past emerald paddy fields, coconut palm fringes, and rural life, you’ll indulge in freshly prepared Kerala cuisine aboard, as evening turns golden over glistening waters. Overnight onboard in Alleppey.
After breakfast aboard your houseboat, disembark and drive back to Cochin (approx. 1–1.5 hours). Depending on your departure time, you may have a chance for last-minute shopping at local bazaars or a visit to the ultra-modern Lulu Mall. Otherwise, it's time for your onward journey, carrying with you Kerala’s fragrances, flavours, and peaceful memories.
